The scoop

TropiCafé is a coffee truck in East Austin, parked at The Aztec Food Park on East Cesar Chavez Street, serving Puerto Rican- and Mexican-influenced coffee with a tropical twist. The menu centers on signature lattes such as the Guava Pie Latte, Piña Colada Latte, Coquito Latte and Banana Cream Matcha, plus matcha, refreshers, sweet treats and classic cold brews, americanos and cappuccinos, with oat and almond milk and extra cold foam available. It is open Wednesday through Monday from 8am to 3pm, takes online pickup orders at the truck, delivers through DoorDash and Uber Eats, and books for private events and catering.

TropiCafé is owned and operated by Ray Rivera and his wife, Moni, and the menu draws on the couple's Puerto Rican and Mexican backgrounds. Community Impact reported in September 2025 that the truck had opened on July 12 at South Austin's ArtHub, on the South I-35 frontage road. The truck's own website and Instagram now list it at The Aztec Food Park on East Cesar Chavez Street in East Austin.
