Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches
Czech kolaches, 400+ craft beers, and Greater Goods coffee in one East Austin yard
The scoop
A family-owned kolache bakery and craft beer hall in a converted East Austin farmhouse, offering 12 rotating taps, a 400-bottle grab-and-go cooler, and espresso through a Greater Goods Roasting partnership. Live music and event rentals make it as much a neighborhood gathering spot as a bakery.
Brothers Noah and Josh Lit, former musicians, spent nine months running pop-ups at local breweries before opening Batch in a renovated stone farmhouse on Manor Road in August 2017. Pastry chef Jasmine Jones elevates the traditional Central Texas Czech kolache with local, seasonal fillings, including a collaboration with Micklethwait Craft Meats for savory barbecue-inspired versions.
