The scoop

Black Fox Coffee Co. is a New York-founded specialty coffee company that opened its first Austin cafe in May 2026 inside downtown's ATX Tower. The elevated space pairs house-roasted and globally sourced espresso with a dedicated pour-over reserve bar for rare, rotating single-origin coffees, plus French-style pastries from local bakery Swedish Hill.

Black Fox Coffee was founded in New York City in 2016 by Australian entrepreneurs Daniel Murphy and Gary Hardwick, growing into a multi-roaster known for both house-roasted beans and coffees sourced from acclaimed roasters worldwide (Coffee Collective, Square Mile, George Howell, and others). The Austin cafe, designed by Mitchell & Eades with interior accents by White Dirt Studios, opened May 15, 2026 as the brand's first location outside New York, debuting a new pour-over 'Editions Program' exclusive to this shop.
