The scoop

An Australian-born specialty coffee company's third flagship cafe, bringing Melbourne-style table service, an all-day breakfast and lunch menu, and a house pourover program to South Lamar. The 2,500-square-foot space is known for its meticulous coffee sourcing as much as its brunch plates.

Founded in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia by husband-and-wife team Nolan and Shari Hirte, Proud Mary opened its first US cafe in Portland, Oregon in 2017 before expanding to Austin in September 2022 as its third flagship location. Nolan Hirte and his father hand-built much of the dining furniture, and the Hirtes relocated to Austin along with head chef Sean Henley.
