Café Crème
French-Vietnamese crêpes, latte art, and board games in South Austin
The scoop
Café Crème is a family-owned French-Vietnamese café on Austin's Oltorf Street, serving espresso drinks, cold brew, and a wide menu of sweet and savory crêpes alongside breakfast tacos, bagels, and sandwiches. The original East Riverside location doubles as a community hangout with board games, a free book-exchange shelf, and local art for sale, and the owners now also run a second café inside the Austin Central Library downtown.
Café Crème has operated in Austin since 2014 as a family-owned Vietnamese and French coffee shop and eatery, starting at its original Oltorf Street location in the East Riverside neighborhood. In 2025 the owners opened a second location inside the Austin Central Library on West César Chávez Street, in a space previously occupied by Cookbook Cafe.
