The scoop

The Meteor is an all-day cafe on South Congress Avenue that mashes up a coffee bar, a natural wine shop, and a boutique bike shop in one space. It serves espresso drinks, sourdough pizza, classic cocktails, and natural wine, and sells its own El Meteoro hot sauce line. Sister locations operate in Bentonville, Dallas, and Fayetteville under the same concept.

The Meteor was founded by three transplants to Austin who opened the original South Congress cafe; the kitchen there inspired the founders to launch the El Meteoro hot sauce brand. The concept has since expanded into sister cafe/wine-shop/bike-shop locations in Bentonville, Dallas, and Fayetteville.
