Desnudo Coffee

Direct-trade Colombian coffee from a beloved East Austin trailer.

The scoop

Desnudo Coffee is an East Austin coffee trailer serving direct-trade beans sourced from small, family-run farms in Huila, Colombia, roasted to order in Austin. Weekend mornings regularly draw lines of 25-plus people for creative specialty drinks like the Brown Sugar Miso Latte and the lacto-fermented Boggy Berry Latte. Founded by brothers Sergio and Juan Trujillo, it has grown from a single trailer into four Austin locations.

Brothers Juan and Sergio Trujillo grew up around coffee and cacao farming in Huila, Colombia before pursuing corporate careers in the city, then traded it all in to open Desnudo Coffee in Austin in 2022, starting with a single trailer at 2505 Webberville Rd. The name means 'naked' in Spanish, reflecting their focus on transparency and letting the coffee speak for itself. They work directly with small, family-run Colombian farms, cutting out middlemen so farmers are paid fairly, and the company has since expanded to three additional Austin locations.

What to order

  1. Brown Sugar Miso Latte

Espresso with caramelized brown sugar syrup and savory miso paste for balanced umami sweetness and marshmallow-like foam.

  2. Boggy Berry Latte

Weekend-only latte made with lacto-fermented organic blueberries (fermented 15-25 days), house-made vanilla syrup, and oat milk.

  3. Desnudo

A stripped-down double shot of espresso served over ice, meant to highlight the coffee's flavor with nothing added.

  4. La Guayaba

Guava-based specialty drink (also offered as a matcha variation) on the rotating specialty menu.

  5. Shoyu Butterscotch

Espresso drink blending shoyu (soy sauce) and butterscotch notes, part of the rotating specialty latte menu.

  6. Colombia Miel

Honey-processed Colombian coffee bag from Desnudo's direct-trade farm partners.
