El Tigre Coffee Roasters pours single-origin and blended house roasts from a refurbished airstream trailer on East 12th Street, with a cozy U-shaped couch corner and patio seating. Known for flavor-forward drinks like the lavender oat milk latte and matcha with cacao mushroom powder, plus breakfast tacos and pastries on weekdays and a sandwich-and-salad menu on weekends.
Founded in Austin in 2019 by Chilean-Texan restaurateur Tatanka Guerrero (Dreamers and Doers Hospitality Group, also behind Marfa's Al Campo), El Tigre began sourcing and roasting all-natural, organic beans from producers around the world. Since January 2024 the Austin flagship has operated out of a refurbished airstream trailer at 1614 E 12th St, and in February 2025 the company opened its first outpost outside Austin in San Antonio's St. Paul Square.
