Haraz Coffee House

Yemeni coffee tradition, clay-pot brewed, steps from UT campus

The scoop

A West Campus outpost of the Michigan-born Haraz Coffee House chain, serving Yemeni-style coffees brewed in traditional jubani clay pots alongside espresso drinks, matcha, refreshers, and spiced pastries. Open daily until 10pm right across from UT Austin, it draws a steady mix of students and neighborhood regulars.

Haraz Coffee House was founded in 2021 by Hamzah Nasser in Dearborn, Michigan, built around sharing Yemeni coffee culture and supporting Yemeni farmers. Local franchisees Zeid Ayssa and Mufid Ghaleb brought the concept to Austin, opening the West Campus location at 500 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd on April 28, 2025, with a second location planned in Pflugerville.
