The scoop
A laid-back neighborhood coffee bar on South 1st with a deck overlooking Bouldin Creek. Pours coffee from Wild Gift Coffee, a roastery co-owned by the same couple, alongside bagels, bakery treats, and a full bar with beer and cocktails.
Opened in 2009 in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood of South Austin, Once Over is owned by Rob and Jenée Ovitt, who also co-founded Wild Gift Coffee (started 2014 in Round Rock, later relocated to North Austin) with Clancy Rose. The two businesses form a small vertical operation, with Wild Gift beans supplying Once Over's bar. The shop celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2019.
