Sightseer Coffee Bar

Women-owned Austin roastery pouring beans sourced exclusively from women producers.

The scoop

Sightseer is a women-owned coffee roastery and coffee bar on South 1st Street, roasting its own beans in Austin. The lineup runs from single-origin Ethiopian lots to house blends with names like Banshee and Killer Queen, alongside house-made syrups and seasonal drinks. It's a small-footprint coffee bar attached to the roastery rather than a sprawling cafe.

Founded in 2022 by Kimberly Zash and Sara Gibson, both coffee-industry veterans, Sightseer was built to counter gender inequality in coffee: women make up roughly 70% of the industry's farm labor but are largely shut out of ownership and management. The queer-owned company sources its beans exclusively from women producers.
