The scoop
The Brew & Brew is an all-day East Austin coffee shop, bar, and brunch spot serving locally roasted coffee and espresso alongside bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and brunch fare. It took over the former Progress Coffee space at East 5th and San Marcos, and doubles as a full bar with craft beer and cocktails, hosting game nights, trivia, and live music. The interior features custom wall art by local artist Will Bryant and shelves of retail coffee for sale.
The Brew & Brew was founded in 2013 by Matt Wright, Grady Wright, and Matthew Bolick, who met over coffee and beer in 2011 and set out to build a place that did both at a high level. They opened it in the former Progress Coffee space on San Marcos Street in East Austin.
