The scoop
Stouthaus is a South Austin coffee pub and roastery in Sunset Valley pairing single-origin, roasted-to-order coffee with local Texas beer and wine across 18 taps. The open, community-focused space serves breakfast tacos, pastries, paninis, and cheese plates alongside coffee subscriptions and online ordering, with a second location at Thicket Food Park.
James and Sandy Hughes founded Stouthaus Coffee Pub in January 2013, starting with catering and farmers-market pop-ups after noticing South Austin lacked a true specialty-coffee destination; their first brick-and-mortar opened in Sunset Valley in September 2014.
